The UPS Healthcare® Lablink feature allows clinical sites to link specimen IDs or case numbers to UPS tracking numbers. This enables laboratories to see not only the tracking numbers coming inbound but also the specific specimens in each package.
Step 1: Access the UPS Healthcare® Lablink Page
- Scan the QR code on your placard or visit www.ups.com/upp.
- Under the "More Options" section, select "Link Lab Specimen(s) to My Shipment," then click on "Link Specimen ID."
Step 2: Link Specimen ID to Tracking Number
Option 1: Link Specimens Manually
- Scan the UPS tracking barcode or manually enter the tracking number into the tracking number field.
- Scan or manually enter the specimen ID or case number into the specimen ID field.
- Once complete, click "Continue."
Option 2: Link Batch Specimen IDs
- Scan the UPS tracking barcode or manually enter the tracking number into the tracking number field.
- Toggle the option for "Upload."
- Upload a CSV or Excel file (Max 5 files at a time) with no more than 100 rows of specimen IDs in Column A.
- Once complete, click "Continue."
Step 3: Review and Confirm
- Review the submitted data for accuracy on the final page.
- Click "Link Specimens" to finalize the upload.
- A confirmation page will appear indicating "Request Successful."
Step 4: Modify or Review After Submitting
- Go to the UPS LabLink page and select "View History."
- Here, you can view linked tracking numbers and associated specimen IDs.
- Add, modify, or remove specimens from associated tracking numbers as needed.
- Modifications can be made until the pickup is complete.
