UPS (NYSE: UPS) has unveiled plans to acquire Andlauer Healthcare Group Inc. (TSX: AND) in a CAD $2.2 billion (USD $1.6 billion) deal designed to expand its end-to-end cold chain logistics capabilities. AHG, headquartered in Canada, is a leader in specialized third-party logistics and cold chain transportation for the healthcare industry.

The integration of AHG’s expertise and infrastructure into UPS Healthcare’s service portfolio will allow UPS to meet the growing demand for complex, temperature-sensitive logistics solutions with greater efficiency and precision.
