Finding Surcharges
Extended Area Surcharge
Providing service to and from less populated or accessible domestic and international areas carries higher operating costs. The extended and remote area surcharges are assessed to more accurately reflect the cost of providing service to these areas.
Fuel Surcharge
Applies to transportation charges for select UPS services and accessorial charges.
Demand Surcharges
Effective September 28, 2025, a Demand Surcharge will apply to packages that require additional handling and large packages until January 17, 2026. The existing Demand Surcharge for parcels that meet the specifications for over maximum limits will increase.
International Processing Fee
Effective 8 September 2025, an International Processing Fee (IPF) of 2.50 USD per shipment (2.35 EUR or the local currency equivalent) will apply to all import shipments into the United States from all regions.
UPS Saturday Delivery Surcharge
Effective March 23, 2025, UPS is reducing Saturday delivery surcharges for UPS Express® on Saturday (commercial and residential shipments) and UPS Standard® on Saturday commercial shipments. No surcharge will apply to UPS Standard® residential shipments.
Surge Fees
Effective September 28, 2025, a Surge Fee will apply to shipments on selected services and lanes until and including January 17, 2026. Surge Fees are subject to change.

Our Base UPS Service and Rate Guides apply to new customers and many existing customers.

Our Legacy UPS Service and Tariff Guides apply to customers with a rate contract for UPS shipments to/from Great Britain which dates before 1 January 2021, or which was renewed after this date using the same rate structure.

Effective 27 July 2025, our Legacy UPS Service and Tariff Guides (which previously applied to customers with a rate contract for UPS shipments to/from Great Britain dated prior to 1 January 2021, or which was renewed after this date using the same rate structure) shall no longer apply, and our Base UPS Service and Tariff Guide shall apply to such customers. Fees are not affected and only minor changes to zone descriptions shall apply.
